Rodriguez pointed out a difference in the dialects of Eastern and Western Japan in “Arte da Lingoa de Iapam” （The Big Grammar Book of the Japanese Language）．This study examines the difference in euphonic change forms of adjectives in dialogues in The Tale of Heike （Kakuichi-bon text）．The results as follows: 1. The Heike family uses many euphonic change forms in The Tale of the Heike （Kakuichi-bon text）．This supports J. Rodriguez’s theory. The Genji family also uses euphonic change forms, which according to Kakuichi AKASHI’s Kakuichi-bon, may be due to their Western Japan dialect. 2. The characters in The Tale of the Heike （Kakuichi-bon text） talk to relatives with euphonic change forms. 3. The characters in The Tale of the Heike （Kakuichi-bon text） talk formally with non-euphonic change forms. 4. The characters in The Tale of the Heike （Kakuichi-bon text） use non-euphonic change forms as tools to emphasize formality in dialogues. |

| 内容記述 | 本稿では、J．ロドリゲスが『日本大文典』の中で指摘した当時の東西の言語の違いが、覚一本『平家物語』の中にも見られるのかということを会話文の音便を視点として見ていく。その結果以下のことが明らかとなった。 1. 平家方はウ音便形が多く見られる結果となり、ロドリゲスの指摘を裏付けるものである。一方、源氏方にもウ音便形は見られ、それは覚一本を書写させた明石覚一のネイティブな言語の問題が考えられる。 2. 一族郎党といった身内に対してはウ音便が使われる傾向がある。 3. 畏まった状況下では非ウ音便が使われる傾向がある。 4. 非ウ音便形は強調の意味として用いられていることがある。 |
