 note = {In this study, I analyze the poems of Izumi Shikibu which contain the word tsuyu（dew）. Tsuyu has, since ancient times, often been written in Japanese poetry as the word referring to the ephemeral nature of life. This study aims to explore the expression of the concept of impermanence by analyzing how Izumi Shikibu described “tsuyu” as a meaning of “transience” in her poems.
